Setting up your Email Program
Outlook Express (Macintosh)
To set up your Outlook Express email program on the Mac, follow these steps:
- Open the program in the normal way.
- Click on the Tools menu, and choose Accounts...
- In the "Edit Account" window, click on the "Account Settings" tab.
Your current mail server settings are shown in the section titled "Receiving mail". These settings point your email program to the computer where you normally get your mail. We suggest that you make a note of your current Account ID and POP server settings, in case you ever want to go back to the way it was before!
- Select the text in the POP server field, and cut this (onto the clipboard).
- Enter the new POP server address as: pop-proxy.death2spam.net
- In the Account ID field, append a colon (:) character after your logon name, then paste in your POP server address from the clipboard.
The completed fields should look something like what's shown below:
Click the OK button. Congratulations, you're now ready to retrieve your filtered emails!
Trouble-Shooting a Connection:
If you're experiencing any problems when configuring your email program, you should verify that you have entered the correct information, and that D2S is able to connect with your POP mail server. You can use the Verify Connection page to help you with diagnosing and fixing the problem. Please try this before reporting a bug or system malfunction!
